21-year-old dies after crashing car into Chesterfield yard

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A Richmond man is dead after crashing his car in a Chesterfield neighborhood near Iron Bridge Park early Monday morning.
The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 8800 block of Leisure Lane.
Police say Yavon H. Aguilar, 21, the driver of a 2016 Dodge Charger, was heading southbound on Huntingcreek Drive when his car left the roadway and crashed into several trees in a yard on Leisure Lane.
Aguilar was pronounced dead at the scene.
Excessive speed, alcohol, and Aguilar not wearing his seatbelt were factors in the crash, according to police.
The investigation into this crash is ongoing.
