Man suffers gunshot wound while driving on I-95
CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A man is in the hospital after being shot while driving on Interstate 95 in Chesterfield early Thursday morning.
Virginia State Police say the shooting happened on I-95 South near the Bells Road and Willis Road exits just before 4 a.m.
VSP said a man driving a Hyundai Elantra was driving along I-95 when his car was struck by gunfire in the driver-side window.
The man was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation.
